Solution:
Use WordArt 2.0 to create mirrored text in PowerPoint.
1) Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Object...'. (The Insert Object dialog box appears.)
2) Select 'Microsoft WordArt 2.0' from the 'Object Type' list.

3) Click 'OK'.
4) Type the text or character to be mirrored, in the 'Enter Your Text Here' dialog box.

5) Format the text as desired.
6) Click outside the 'Enter Your Text Here' dialog box, to return to the PowerPoint slide. (Selection handles remain around the text placeholder containing the WordArt text.)
7) Copy the WordArt object to an adjacent location:
a) Select the original inserted WordArt object.
b) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Duplicate'. (A duplicate WordArt object appears on top of the original.)
c) Move the copy to the desired location.
8) Select the WordArt copy just made. (Handles appear around the selection box.)
9) Select the 'Draw' menu and select 'Ungroup'. (A message appears stating that embedded date or linking information will be discarded.)
10) Click 'OK'. (Each letter is selected individually.)

11) To flip each letter:
a) Select the 'Draw' menu and select 'Rotate/Flip'. (The Rotate/Flip submenu appears.)
b) Do one of the following, depending on the location of the duplicate WordArt object:
1] Select 'Flip Horizontal'. (A horizontal mirror image of each letter is formed.)
2] Select 'Flip Vertical'. (A vertical mirror image of each letter is formed.)
12) To flip all of the text together:
a) Select the 'Draw' menu and select 'Group'.
b) Select the 'Draw' menu and select 'Rotate/Flip'. (The Rotate/Flip submenu appears.)
c) Do one of the following, depending on the location of the duplicate WordArt object:
1] Select 'Flip Horizontal'. (A horizontal mirror image of the text is formed.)
2] Select 'Flip Vertical'. (A vertical mirror image of the text is formed.)
